Artist statement
Within architecture there is often an inherent beauty and timelessness; measured silences and hidden secrets that the rigors of life conspire to conceal. The pre-dawn hours however, are a time of unnatural quiet and serenity; a time of revelation that I find almost spiritual. Haunted by ghostly shadows and remnants of the night before, there is an eerie absence of life. During these evanescent periods of ethereal purity, time seems to slow into a moment between moments; the instant in time where “what was” and “what will be” converge.
